Meditek support Light up Heighington village for Keiren

Tree lit in support of a very brave young man Kieran and his family and to raise awareness of Ewings Sarcoma.#lightupHeighingtonforkieran

I would really like it if you could all help do something for a very special young person.
Many of you will be aware of the Light up for Kieran campaign, but if not here goes.
Kieran Maxwell is a local lad, who became ill with a rare cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma when he was about 12. He had gruelling chemo and half his leg amputated. The cancer came back a couple of years later and he had part of his lung removed. During all this he remained upbeat, carrying the Olympic torch in 2012 and training and making it as a junior para Olympic runner. He has raised money for charity and grown into a lovely young man. In a recent check up he was told out of the blue, that his cancer is back and it is terminal. He is trying to pack as much in as possible whilst continuing to raise money for research into Ewing’s Sarcoma.
His family wanted to have Christmas early for him and his neighbours, his village and surrounding areas are all lighting up too. It would be fantastic if some of you would light up for Kieran too! We all have had friends and family devastated by cancer – lets light up for them as well ..
There is a lot of darkness about at the moment, it would be wonderful to give Kieran a bit of sparkle!
If you light up ( a few lights or the whole shebang) it would mean a lot.
Let’s shine a few lights in the darkness 😘😘😘
